Comfort Foods +Spring Snow days.

Good morning! How was your weekend? Mine was filled with yummy food and some sunny family walks on the beach. It was nice to be able to help my family member. Things are looking up down there and so I headed back to DC for work …only to find out the city is on a delay schedule due to snow. I am ready for Spring!

And because today is another Monday, its time for Maniac Monday!

On Saturday, I was able to get a short run in, but man, was I feeling sad about not being at the Rock N’Roll half that weekend. Again, I have to remind myself that being there for family is what means most to me, even if that means missing a race that I was looking forward to.

Maniac Status? Yes, because lately, it feels as though I’ve had to miss out on a couple of races,I don’t even want to add up on the money lost…or the miles not ran. But I know April is a big race month for me, so I have some to look forward to. Besides, things are looking better in Florida and healing is occurring…well worth missing a race to see this with my own eyes.

Saturday night also included a new to me restaurant, where we ordered in pizza and salad and even had ice cream for dessert.

Maniac Status? Yes, because sometimes, comfort foods do work there magic and help make me feel good. I know, I know…I shouldn’t rely on food for comfort but sometimes, it just works.

Sunday was sent traveling from sunny Florida to snowy DC…

Maniac Status? Yes, because its Spring time and snow days are still happening. Enough said…

Have a Marvelous Monday!

Your turn:

Ever have to not run a run you were registered for? If so, how did you deal with it?

Ever turn to certain foods for comfort? If so, which ones?

Still bummed for you that you didn’t get to run but comfort food does wonders. Pizza and ice cream are two foods you just can’t go wrong with ;)
